A nest is a small woven hole you can hop into, and “be”, especially if you are a bird! Little havens
to grow in, they are made in all manner of places; temporary, returned to,
seemingly protected, or vulnerable....
From originally full, with its three cherished beauties, our
nest(s), in several locations, became empty, in stages. Yet those occupants
were, and still are, held close, as they fly.... for my mother’s heart has
wings too, revelling in all the possibilities....
I reworked this picture 9 years after the first wistful “take” on “empty nest” , and can sometimes hardly believe how quickly the nest
has become (often) full ....even more so.... again!
And .... I always get excited when the kids bring me nests
(and feathers), especially Isaac, Josiah, Liam and Evan.
They
know how much I enjoy them!
