The flooding of Lake Eyre in Australia’s inland, after much
rain, is a spectacle to behold! Flowing rivers and creeks spread out across the land, and life in great diversity flourishes. In
the bottom LH corner I have made a small aerial study of this. It also resembles, and could be an analogy for a human heart, with its
organised framework of arteries and veins.
THE DESERT & THE PARCHED LAND WILL BE GLAD; THE
WILDERNESS WILL REJOICE & BLOSSOM.
.... WATER WILL GUSH FORTH IN THE WILDERNESS & STREAMS
IN THE DESERT. THE BURNING SANDS WILL BECOME A POOL, THE THIRSTY GROUND BUBBLING SPRINGS .... GRASS & REEDS & PAPYRUS
WILL GROW. —Isaiah 35; 1-2,
6 -7
I have suggested here a large expanse of shining water with
acres of submerged trees. The water takes
all with it in its strong, unrelenting current; even entrenched trunks and posts struggle to withstand.
And from the Heart-land? The sacrificial, life-giving blood
of Jesus .... covers over all .... Grace floods the
heart .... to overflow.
