Dried gum leaves, acrylic paint, dye, conte, on canvas
The eucalyptus leaves that form this mandala were collected in the Flinders Ranges (SA). They caught my attention because they had been "eaten out" by some creature, systematically, leaving perfect oval-shaped holes.
But the effects left over from sins and mistakes can be "up-cycled" in good ways, and holes may not always be negative shapes....Good things can burst forth from restoration and renewal.
I WILL REPAY YOU FOR THE YEARS THE LOCUSTS HAVE EATEN.
